Carla moved to Marthasville 15 years ago and started Catala out of her home. Her business quickly outgrew her space and 11 years ago, she moved to a 114-year-old Marthasville house.

When she and her husband Phil, moved up on the ridge in the Burton House, she had to decide to either close up shop or move to a storefront in New Melle. That was almost 7 years ago in November.

Today, Catala Facial Retreat is a thriving small business in a refurbished cottage in the heart of New Melle. What started as a simple shop has grown into a house of "All About You."

As a dedicated Esthetician, Carla is committed to care for your skin's health at every step, providing you with the education needed to make good decisions and purchases. Committed to providing the best products for your bath and body, skincare, and makeup, Carla only offers items from the best companies in the industry.

In 2026, after months of education and training, Carla fulfilled a long-time dream of becoming a licensed massage therapist. She loves helping clients reduce pain, relieve stress, and reset their nervous system on her massage table.
